Have no fear your necklace cheat sheet is here!

I came across such a great blog post the other day from Inside Out Style about how to choose necklaces that work with your neckline.  Not only was her post informative but it also had a awesome image to give you an even better idea of how to pair necklaces with different tops that you have in your wardrobe.

Spring Has Sprung! Top Fashion Trends for Spring 2013

Today is the first day of spring and while some of us are not quite feeling the effects yet, its never to soon to take a look at your wardrobe and update it for the spring season! Here are some tips from around the web on how to add a few pieces to your existing wardrobe to fit into wearable trends for the season.

One trend that I am super excited about this Spring is that Black and White is IN again.  For me personally black is a staple in my wardrobe no matter what the season is so when it is on trend that means my wallet gets to breathe a sigh of relief.

The other great thing about black and white is that it is the perfect background for knockout accessories! Whether it is your favorite statement necklace or those beautiful diamond earrings you have. It also plays well with bright colors such as the Pantone Color of the Year Emerald Green. Here are some affordable accessories to carry you not only through the spring but the whole year.

Another trend seen on the runways this spring is Bold Stripes.  You can rock them in black and white or in a wide range of colors.  It's similar to the color blocking that was the rage last year. Bold Stripes bring a graphic yet classic quality to the fashion scene.

Here are some pieces that won't break the bank.

Other 2013 Spring Trends are Sporty Dresses, Lux Leather, Beading, and Statement Sunglasses.  Check out Glamour Magazines gallery of the seasons most wearable trends here.  Happy Shopping!

Neon: They're Back (as said in the creepy Poltergeist movie)

I am a child of the 80's or should I say I was a child in the 80's.  I remember slap bracelets, wearing four pairs of "scruchie" socks all in different colors which of course matched what you where wearing.  I also remember L.A. Gear, New Kids on the Block, and unfortunately neon clothing.  See neon clothing and I never truly became friends because I wasn't really sure even at the age of 12 that I needed to poor myself into some florescent orange spandex  bike shorts and my mother wholeheartedly agreed. However to still be fashionable I did have some neon socks that I liked to rock until a very unfortunate accident at camp one summer that I try to forget but that is a story for another blog.

My point being in all of this neon talk is that it's back and back with a vengeance I might add.  I have seen it at the gym, at the pool, going out with friends, and even gracing the runways of many well known designers for their Spring 2012 Collection.

Nannette Lepore

Peter Som

Jason Wu

While I think all of the above designs are stunning they make me wonder if the everyday woman can still pull off the neon look.  What do you think?  Is there an age range for neon?  Are you all for a lot of florescent or just a touch here or there?  I personally think that accessories in neon could be fun like below.

Hmmmm no socks.....maybe that is a good thing!
